HIGH QUALITY PRINTING is a unique feature of PhotoFix™ that ensures you can achieve the very best results from whatever printer you have.
Variations in paper, toner, ink cartridges etc. make each printer unique. HQP® allows you to easily calibrate PhotoFix™ to take these varients into account. Images can be saved with or without these modifications.
The following text explain a liitle on how to use HQP to get the best from your printer.
HQP® printing ensures you can acheive the best from your image and your printer. The programme can automatically correct any dominant colour, brightness and contrast values, or you can manually adjust to suit you requirements.
HQP® : High Quality Printing
HQP is an easy-to-use image treatment technology. HQP analyses your image and can set automatically its best contrast, brightness and colour values for printing.
These values can be previewed and modified in the «HQP corrections» window from the File Menu.
Printer settings : opens a dialog box that allows you to define and calibrate your printer in order to achieve the best quality possible.
Automatic recognition : your printer can be automatically recognised and its characteristics displayed if it is in the printers list. You can consult and complete this list by activating the "Manual settings" option.
Manual settings : This option allows you to manually enter your printer characteristics and name.
Manual adjustment : The local menu gives access to the list of recognizable printers. If you have a different one, use the “Manual adjustment” option to enter its name and characteristics. Please refer to your printer's manual for these characteristics. .
Printer Calibration :
1- Press the “Print Test charts” button to print 20-37 test charts that will help you easily calibrate your printer.
2- For B&W calibration choose the chart that contains the richest greyscales ranging from white to black.
For colour calibration, choose the purest grey chart. This is the one that will eliminate any dominant colour.
You can compare the charts to the displayed references.
3- Enter the number of the chosen chart in the “Calibration" text box. Your printer is calibrated.
Copy HQP and Export HQP : allow you to place your image with its HQP corrections in your layout application documents…
Print variants : will print 7 to 19, B&W or colour, small or large variants of your image for fast and accurate correction.
P.S. All HQP parameters including HQP corrections from the File menu will be applied on the image only upon printing and will not affect the original.
